Historical

The original name of the project was Umlaut (the name of the German umlaut).

The name Puscifer was first used in an episode of the American TV series Mr. Show which featured Maynard James Keenan and Adam Jones (guitarist for Tool). Puscifer was then called an imaginary rock band. Adam Jones is not officially affiliated with Puscifer. His only involvement is in the design of the "Your Mom is a Bitch" T-shirt, which is sold on Puscifer's official website. nine0003

The first true Puscifer tracks ( Rev 10:20 pm and The Undertaker ) appeared on the soundtracks for Underworld and saw films in 2003 and 2005. At the time, the project was just a musical collaboration between Danny Lohner and, Which especially remixes the title Bring Me The Disco King by David Bowie.

Gradually the project developed, the number of sites increased, and in 2007 Keenan officially announced the release of the Puscifer album at the end of the year. nine0003
