Great fun for seniors and juniors
John Gustafson (Jack Lemmon) and Max Goldman (Walter Matthau) are neighbors living in snowy Minnesota who have been fighting with each other for several years. Then a lovely widow called Ariel Truax (Ann-Margret) moves to the street. That means competition between John and Max.Grumpy Old Men from 1993 is great fun for seniors and juniors.I'm only 18 but I'm getting older all the time.Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were great together.Unfortunately Walter died to a heart attack last July at the age of 79.There are also some other great actors in the movie, including Ossie Davis, Daryl Hannah and Kevin Pollak.Burgess Meredith (1909-1997) is brilliant playing Lemmon's father in the movie. Grumpy Old Men is a heart warming comedy with lots of terrific scenes with Lemmon and Matthau.Don't miss the bloopers during credits. And don't miss this movie.

Grumpy Old Men-
Apr 03, 2019
Grumpy Old Men is still one of my favourite past time movies. The teaming of Matthau and Lemmon was never a problem, it was the story and filmmaker at the helm. This film is harmless and it has a lot of good intentions. The support cast are only there to service the plot, but are very one dimensional. Lemmon's character has a daughter who's husband is attempting to sort out his life, but that gets two minutes. A good film and one you can watch time to time without the over complicated storylines. The two lead characters are fun and play well together, it's just a shame the sequel failed to recapture the essence of the first film. 03/04/2019

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau team-up for the hilarious screwball comedy Grumpy Old Men. The story follows two life-long rivals and neighbors who take their juvenile games and pranks to a new level to compete for a beautiful, free-spirited woman who moves in down the street from them. Lemmon and Matthau are incredibly funny, and are backed by a strong supporting cast; including Ann-Margret, Burgess Meredith, and Daryl Hannah. And while the comedy is a lot of fun, there also a lot of heart; with a touching message about the bonds of friendship and making the most out of life. Terrifically entertaining, Grumpy Old Men delivers a lot of laughs.

Not the best film of the duo Matthau and Lemmon, but, Grumpy Old Men still a funny and charismatic movie about love, life, family, friends and death in old age.

An instant classic! This comedy has all the right timing and Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau make the funniest pair. Don't skip the end credits either, Burgess Meredith has some of the funniest one-liners I've ever heard!
