Maxim Malyavin on whether to blame the lack of money for all troubles - Gazeta.Ru
“Money will not make you happier,” Arnold Schwarzenegger once voiced the well-known maxim. And he immediately brought an iron argument to confirm: "I have 50 million now, and I'm just as happy as when I had 48 million." Iron logic in iron Arnie, what can I say. And how is it really? Too often one hears, both at receptions and at medical examinations, where we, psychiatrists, are invariably present, that poverty is to blame. There was less money - and the depression began. nine0003
I will allow myself not only to doubt, but rather to clarify some points linking poverty and depression. Because not everything in this pair is so unambiguous. And not always the first is the cause, and the second is the effect. It just takes a little thought and clarification of a number of points.
The fact is that under depression, the average person, who is not versed in the subtleties of psychiatric terminology, most often means several radically different conditions, which are united by one sign: low mood. And it is not his fault that he puts in one basket both endogenous depression, and reactive depression, and depressive (or rather, more often subdepressive, not up to full-blown clinical depression) syndrome with neurosis, and just a bad mood outside of any illness. And now let's go through each of the listed points and take a closer look, and at the same time we will figure out: how dependent is each of them on material wealth? nine0003
The first item is endogenous depression.
Either in terms of bipolar affective disorder (or BPD, as it used to be called), or in terms of recurrent depressive episodes.
These episodes are vivid, powerful, with a risk of suicide, with a clearly expressed depressive triad (and this is a sharply lowered mood - one; inhibited thinking - two; and inhibited movements - three), with longing, tearing the chest into pieces up to the sensation of physical unbearable torment, as well as with a number of other equally unpleasant symptoms. nine0003
The key to such a disease is that it does not depend on external causes, which is why it is called endogenous. That's when the body, which inherited a failure of the genetic program, decides to once again upset its own balance of neurotransmitters and hormones, then the exacerbation will begin. Poverty can only indirectly affect the duration of such an exacerbation: for example, there is no money for medicines that are prescribed for preventive purposes. Directly, no, not at all.
Item two, reactive depression. nine0003
May present with the same symptoms and just as pronounced as endogenous. The difference is that the reactive one has a clear reason: after all, it develops as a reaction, and not just to stress, but to a personal disaster, tragedy. You understand, for this it is not enough just to earn less than a neighbor, or to find out that your salary has been cut. To do this, you have to lose everything. Or almost everything. Moreover, overnight or in a relatively short period of time. Are there many of these now? There is, of course, but not in the same way as it was in the nineties. nine0003
As for the third point, neurotic depression, or depressive syndrome in neurosis, here, yes, here, in order to get the debut of a neurosis or decompensation of an existing one, it is necessary that an unpleasant, stressful factor be not necessarily catastrophic, but act, undermining strength, quite long time.
And long-term lack of money can turn out to be just such a stressful factor. And indeed sometimes it turns out. Just something to take into account. Even in the presence of this very stressful factor, under other external conditions being equal, not every person will develop a neurosis. nine0003
Here, firstly, it is necessary to have a certain personality type, for which it is intrapersonal (oh, what a weakling I am, I don’t even know how to earn money!) you have to, all in the same place, with claims!) will be critically significant. And secondly, genes again. Predisposing to the development of neurosis.
Similar factory firmware on a phone or on-board computer of a car with preset settings. That is, there will be more neuroses arising from poverty than reactive and exacerbated endogenous depressions, but even if you add up all three points, the total amount will be much less than that which does not relate to something painful, has no right to be called depression and is represented fourth and last point. nine0003
So, the fourth point. Bad mood.
Any psychologist will explain where it comes from in case of lack of money. There is a whole chain: need - motivation - action - emotion for a positive or negative result. Well, no one needs to justify the need for material well-being: too much is now tied to money. Motivation to raise the butt, and actions to get this money, also do not have to be painted. As well as emotions, negative in case it was not possible to earn money, or it was possible, but not enough. nine0003
We just completely forgot that negative emotions are not always something bad or painful.
Just here they are completely natural and justified. Moreover, normally they should serve as an initiating pendle for the individual: get up, do something! Find additional income, change your job, and if it doesn't work out, cut your sturgeon... sorry, needs and requests - and don't worry!
It's just that someone has managed to relax and wean himself from the fact that you first need to fight for the right of Blessed Dolce Far Niente. And if Fortune has turned her back, some gestures must be taken so that in the future she is afraid to do it again. Hard? Yes. Scary? Yes. Lazy? Probably. But the result is worth it. nine0003
So it's not depression in the vast majority of cases, it's just your Galya being spoiled. But there are no tasty pills for improving self-discipline among psychiatrists, sorry. So let's just do it ourselves. By the way, antidepressants, which are prescribed for people with depressive symptoms from the first three groups, act only on a painfully lowered mood. They don’t affect the bad things in any way, so it’s better not to even try to use them as a life hack.

Peskov praised Dud's film
Tragedies like the one that happened in Selyatino near Moscow, associated with lack of money in families, can be prevented, but often this will require outside intervention, family psychologist Irina Obukhova told the VZGLYAD newspaper. nine0061
In the suburbs, a man shot his ex-wife in front of his eight-year-old son, and then committed suicide. According to media reports, the cause of this incident was material trouble: the spouses were divorced, but were forced to continue to live together in a hostel, because they could not leave due to lack of money.
“Man is most afraid of the unknown. Fear of the future, if he cannot calculate something and be sure that he has enough money, resources, etc. for something. Therefore, all material problems are no longer about what a person does not have today, but about the fact that he will not be able to provide for himself and his children in the future, ”says Obukhova. nine0003
Because of the fear of the unknown, anxiety and neuroticism grow, conflicts begin, and the family collapses, explains the psychologist. People themselves drive themselves into this or that situation, and even in the absence of money, there is always a way out. But any problems affect each person differently: one goes and does something, and the other becomes depressed. But when it comes to a "global" depression, similar situations occur.
“You should never forget that in life you have to stand up one more time than you fell. Here, both parents were depressed, so a calm conversation with lack of money would not work, since the situation in the family is tense for both. To solve such situations, there must be third parties who will come to the rescue (relatives, acquaintances). You need to be indifferent to the people who are nearby, ”advises Obukhova. nine0003
The psychologist also recommends that women take matters into their own hands, no matter how difficult it may be. It is worth supporting your husband regularly. After that, he will go and at least earn some money. In this case, it is very important to motivate a person, and not to put pressure on him.
Previously, a neighbor told about the relationship between the dead family members.

Lavrov offered Ukraine two ways of demilitarization and denazification
Lavrov offered Ukraine to comply with Russia’s demands “just fine”, otherwise the army will decide the issue
If Ukraine does not comply with Russian demands and continues "senseless resistance", then its demilitarization and denazification will be ensured by the Russian army, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. nine0003
Lavrov stressed that the “enemy” is aware of Russian proposals regarding the demilitarization and denazification of territories under the control of the Kyiv regime, as well as the elimination of threats emanating from there. He noted that this also applies to the security of "our new lands": the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Russia.
According to Lavrov, "there's nothing to do" - Kyiv must "just right" fulfill Russian requirements, "otherwise the issue will be decided by the Russian army," TASS reports. nine0003
Assessing the possible duration of the conflict, the minister said that "the ball is on the side of the regime and Washington behind it." According to Lavrov, "they can stop their senseless resistance at any moment."
According to the minister, Kyiv wants to "pull the Americans and other NATO members even deeper into the maelstrom of the conflict", counting on their "head-on collision with the Russian army."
In particular, Lavrov recalled the provocation with the fall of the Ukrainian rocket in Poland. According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, this indicates that the Ukrainian "regime will stop at nothing." nine0003
The policy of the West aimed at the total containment of Russia is extremely dangerous, it bears the risk of sliding into a direct armed clash of nuclear powers, the minister said.
Recall that Russia is conducting a special military operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. Initially, Kyiv was demanded to recognize the reunification of Crimea with Russia, as well as the independence of the DNR and LNR. In addition, there were a number of political conditions.
Later, due to the position of Ukraine, the geographical tasks of the NWO expanded. Since the residents of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions voted for reunification with Russia, Russia agreed to return these regions to our country. nine0003

Musk praised Medvedev's "futuristic forecast"
Musk commented on Medvedev's "futuristic forecast" for 2023 on Twitter
American billionaire Elon Musk commented on the “futuristic forecast” for 2023 published by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, using a popular Internet expression. nine0061
"Epic thread!" – said Musk on Twitter, commenting on the corresponding message of Medvedev. In the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet, the translation of this phrase into Russian has become fixed as “epic thread (discussion thread)”, and the word “epic” is used both to express sarcasm and for real approval.
In addition, Musk reacted with a surprised smiley and asked to be reminded of the “forecast” in a year.
Recall that Medvedev proposed 10 points of a "futuristic forecast", including the collapse of the EU after the return of Great Britain there, a civil war in the United States, and Musk's victory in the American presidential elections in those states that will be Republican after the war. nine0003
Suspects in the murder of a family in Makiivka were detained in hot pursuit
Law enforcement officers in hot pursuit detained three suspects in the murder of a family of eight in Makeevka, according to the center of public relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR.
The department's Telegram channel notes that the detainees are previously convicted residents of the Kalininsky microdistrict. They admitted that they committed the murder out of selfish motives in order to steal a Skoda car and other valuable property. nine0003
According to the department, suspects may face capital punishment. The actions of criminals fit under the article "Murder of two or more persons", which entails the maximum responsibility in the form of capital punishment. Investigations have begun.
Earlier, the Makiivka city administration reported that in Donetsk Makiivka, a family of eight people was shot, presumably with automatic weapons, four children were killed, including a one-year-old child. The murder took place in the Chervonogvardeisky district. In Makiivka, an interception plan was announced. nine0003
The FSB showed footage from the site of the liquidation of Ukrainian saboteurs in the Bryansk region
The FSB of Russia has published footage after the elimination of the Ukrainian sabotage group of four people in the Bryansk region.
In the published video, foreign weapons are lying next to the dead militants. The saboteurs carried German SIG Sauer submachine guns and ammunition for them, communication and navigation devices, as well as "means for committing sabotage and terrorist acts - four IEDs with a total capacity of about 40 kilograms of TNT," RIA Novosti reports. nine0003
Member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Adalbi Shkhagoshev said that the amount of explosives that the liquidated group had was enough to destroy several large infrastructure facilities.
Recall that the FSB reported that on December 25, a group of Ukrainian saboteurs who wanted to break into the Bryansk region was destroyed.
Later, the FSB named the Ukrainian saboteurs.
Akhmat special forces commander estimated the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at 200 thousand people
Akhmat special forces commander Alaudinov estimated the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces since the beginning of the NMD at 200 thousand people
Since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Ukrainian troops have lost about 200,000 personnel, said Apty Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat special forces, deputy commander of the second army corps of the People's Militia of the LPR. nine0061
“Is there any sense in these sacrifices for us? I think not,” Alaudinov said on Telegram, adding that the Russian troops intend to “move forward carefully, but confidently,” and the only reason slowing down progress in the Artemovsky sector is the desire to avoid civilian casualties. In addition, "it takes some time" to destroy "the forces and means of the NATO bloc." At the same time, according to him, Russian troops are systematically "fettering" Artemovsk (Bakhmut), "the front is stable", the city "will be liberated." nine0003
Alaudinov also stated that the Ukrainian troops "used up" both the weapons supplied by Western countries and "a huge amount of Soviet-made weapons" that were in Ukraine. According to him, “to repeat the supply of weapons to Ukraine by the NATO bloc will not work right away,” since they simply do not have the necessary “volumes for export.”
Recall that Alaudinov said that the Ukrainian authorities want to prepare the population of Ukraine and the West for the surrender of Artemovsk, for this they are trying to present it as a city of "no importance". Alaudinov noted that Kyiv acted in the same way during the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Severodonetsk, Lysichansk, Rubizhne and other cities. nine0003
At the end of November, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, reported that the losses of the Ukrainian side amounted to over 100,000 soldiers. In September, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported that at the initial stage, Ukrainian troops numbered about 200 thousand people, Ukraine lost more than 100 thousand people: “At the same time, 61 thousand 207 people were killed and 49 thousand 368 people were wounded.”
Lavrov warned the United States against threats to the President of Russia
Lavrov advised "unnamed persons" in the Pentagon to think carefully about the consequences of plans to "decapitate Russia"
Statements by "unnamed officials" from the Pentagon about the possibility of inflicting a "decapitation blow" on the Kremlin are in fact a threat of the physical removal of the Russian president, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
According to Lavrov, if someone in Washington really considers such plans, then "this someone should think very carefully about the possible consequences," TASS reports. nine0003
According to him, in the West "it seems that they have completely abandoned any decency." In particular, the “notorious Liz Truss” at the pre-election debate “without a shadow of a doubt” said that she was “quite ready to give the order for a nuclear strike.”
Lavrov also pointed to the "going off scale provocations of the Kyiv regime." As the minister noted, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "agreed to the requirement of preventive nuclear strikes by NATO countries against Russia." “This also goes beyond the acceptable. However, we didn’t hear such things from the leaders of the regime,” the Russian Foreign Minister said. nine0003
Recall that Zelensky called on NATO to provide for the possibility of a preemptive strike in the event that Russia attempts to use nuclear weapons. The Kremlin accused Kyiv of drawing the West into nuclear rhetoric. Later, Zelensky said that he was misunderstood and that the talk was allegedly only about sanctions.
In October, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov noted the promises of retired generals Ben Hodges and David Petraeus to launch a conventional strike against Russian troops, as well as calls for regime change in Russia by former US national security adviser John Bolton. According to Antonov, delusional statements about the possibility of a "decapitation" strike on the Russian leadership defy reasonable explanation. nine0003
The UN responded to Ukraine's proposal for a "peace summit"
The Guterres office called the condition for his participation as a mediator in the "peace summit" proposed by Kyiv
UN Secretary General António Guterres agrees to mediate at a "peace summit" on the situation around Ukraine only if all parties agree, the Secretary General's office said. nine0061
As emphasized in the office, Guterres can act as an intermediary "only if all parties want" this, reports TASS.
Recall that Ukraine proposed to arrange a "peace summit" at the UN site in February. According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, Guterres could become a mediator at the "summit". At the same time, Kuleba said that Russia should be invited only after the international court.
The Kremlin rejected the possibility of negotiations on Kyiv's terms. It should be noted that Guterres stated that referendums in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions allegedly cannot be accepted. nine0003
The gunner of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detained in the Kherson region
The resident of the Kherson region was detained for transmitting the coordinates of the location of the forces of the Russian Armed Forces
Law enforcement officers reported that they detained a resident of the Kherson region, who transmitted the coordinates of the locations of the personnel of the Russian Armed Forces.
Operatives explained to RIA Novosti that a resident of the Kherson region was under the influence of propaganda content posted on aggressive Ukrainian nationalist resources. She handed over the location of the personnel of the Russian Armed Forces to one of the administrators of the Ukrainian nationalist resource. nine0003
This offense is punishable by up to 21 years in prison.
Earlier, an SBU agent who was following the Russian Armed Forces was detained in Kherson.
The father of the murdered woman in Makiivka denied the version of the robbery
The father of the murdered woman in Makiivka said that the criminals stole the car, but left the gold
The father of a murdered woman in the city of Makeevka in the DPR said that the criminals stole a car, but left the gold. Earlier it became known about the operational detention of suspects in the murder of a family of eight people in Makeevka.
According to him, no one wanted to rob, the criminals did not take anything and did not even remove the golden chain from their daughter. According to the man, the suspects "simply shot people and stole a car," RIA Novosti reports. nine0003
According to the victim's father, he was with the police and talked to the head of the criminal investigation department. “I ask: for what, why? He says: (the accused) are not adequate,” he said.
The suspects were arrested in hot pursuit.
