See you all in therapy

Graduation Cap Decoration See You in Therapy

*** Please read the entire listing before ordering. It includes important information, and it has EVERYTHING you need to be able to order. My turnaround time right now is three weeks. Once it ships it takes 2 to 3 days to get to you.***

**If you request a bow or border that is NOT included on the listing photo, and you do not add them or pay for them through the links below, I WILL NOT ADD THEM. Unfortunately it takes too much time to constantly reach out to ask people to add them. What you see in the listing photo IS INCLUDED in the price.

PLEASE MEASURE YOUR CAP!!!! SIZE: The measurements are approximately 10"x10”. Many toppers can be smaller, such as 9.5" or down to 9". If your cap is smaller, please let me know the dimensions in the Personalization section when you check out. If you have not received your cap yet, you can call the school and ask for the size. Please do not say you have a ‘standard’ cap size – believe it or not standard sizes vary! I will not refund or replace a cap if you have not asked me to cut it smaller.

CHANGES TO SAYING/COLORS: I can easily change the saying or colors of a topper. You just need to leave detailed instructions for me in the Personalization section when you check out! It's no problem at all to mix and match color schemes and sayings.
- It's easiest for you to order the layout of the topper you like best.
- Then just let me know the colors, saying and personal details in the Personalization section.
- If you are ordering the topper exactly like the listing, just say 'no changes' in the Personalization section.
- You can send me a picture in a convo and let me know to refer back to it.
- PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME another artist's cap topper and ask me to replicate it. I will not. I can use a saying or color scheme, but I will not replicate their style.

COMMUNICATIONS: Etsy policy is to keep all communications within the Etsy platform. This policy safeguards both the buyer and seller should there be a problem with an order. Therefore, I cannot contact you by phone or personal email. Please keep all communications with me via the ‘convo’ function.
I cannot guarantee the exact flowers or glitter background in the listing for a design. I can work within a general color scheme based on what you request.

You can see all of my graduation cap toppers through this link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GlitterMomz?ref=l2-shopheader-name§ion_id=17153796

BORDERS: You can add a rhinestone or pearl border to your topper for an additional $11. Use this listing to add the border: https://www.etsy.com/listing/599388977/add-a-rhinestone-or-pearl-border-to-your?ref=shop_home_active_2

BOWS: You can add a bow to your topper for an additional $11. Use this listing to add a bow: https://www.etsy.com/listing/599389405/add-a-bow-to-your-glitter-momz?ref=shop_home_active_1

CROWN: To add a matching flower crown to your order, use this listing: https://www. etsy.com/listing/619876915/add-a-matching-flower-crown-to-your?ref=shop_home_active_1

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: You will need to apply the topper to your cap with fabric glue once you receive it. You can pick up fabric glue at any craft store or Walmart. There is a hole in the middle of the topper for your button and tassel. Once you put the topper on the hat and have the button and tassel on, you can attach the decoration or punch-out of the circle to the top of the button with pop-dots that I include.

TURN AROUND TIME: My turn around time is 3 weeks from the date of placing the order. Once it ships it takes 2 to 3 days to get to you. During the off season, I can usually get a topper to you sooner. Please reach out to me to confirm I can get it to you sooner. Please DO NOT just leave the date you need it by in the Personalization section without hearing back from me. I may not see the earlier date. I will not cancel or refund an order that is in progress, or has already been sent, for not getting to you in time if you did not get an earlier delivery confirmation from me.

Thanks so much, and happy graduation!!

EMC Resuscitation and Intensive Care Unit

Resuscitation patients are patients with serious illnesses and injuries, after complex surgical interventions and anesthesia. And if most of us know what happens in hospital wards, then resuscitation and intensive care, as a rule, are always closed to prying eyes. Visits to intensive care units are generally prohibited. However, any of us is sure: when a person is in a critical condition, it is very important that a loved one is nearby.

Yelena Aleshchenko, head of the intensive care unit (ICU), tells about visiting patients with relatives and friends:

Why visit patients in the ICU?

In fact, a patient in the ICU rarely needs the presence of relatives. But for many people it is very important to make sure that everything is in order with a loved one, at least for a minute to be near him, and we understand this very well. After anesthesia and surgery, the patient does not need additional care from relatives: he is fully provided by the medical staff of the department. Moreover, most people cannot always adequately perceive the sight of a loved one who is connected by wires and “tubes” to devices and monitors, and nurses are constantly scurrying around him.

It must be understood that a person who wants to visit a patient in the ICU must be prepared. Before allowing a visit, we talk in detail with relatives so that they correctly perceive everything that happens to their loved one - of course, they have questions. We must admit that we manage to find a common language with the majority of visitors. Then, being in the ICU, they do not interfere with the treatment process. But in fact, the best time to see loved ones is when the patient is close to recovery and ready to be transferred to the hospital.

However, relatives should keep in mind that the most important thing for us is the patient's opinion about visits both in the ICU and in the hospital. We also follow the wishes of the patient about who can be provided with information about his state of health, which are recorded in the medical record of the inpatient.

How should ICU visits be organized?

Resuscitation is a department where there is a special sanitary and epidemiological regime, dictated, first of all, by the interests of patients. We do not allow you to enter the branch in outerwear and street shoes. We will ask you to change into disposable shoe covers and a bathrobe.

When is the best time to come to the ICU?

Of course, all visits to the ICU must be agreed with the doctors and the head of the department, and, of course, the main thing is the desire of the patient himself. Intensive care is also a treatment, but many times more active, in simple terms, and it is aimed at restoring vital functions (respiration, blood circulation, metabolism) that were impaired as a result of surgery, anesthesia, trauma, or a serious illness. There is a lot of sophisticated equipment that monitors the state of individual organs and systems and supports the vital activity of the body. In addition, we carry out many invasive interventions, so the doctor will tell you the most convenient time to visit the patient. We are always in touch with relatives and friends of our patients.

How long can a visitor spend in the ICU?

If you visit someone in the ICU, you need to understand that not only your relative is here, but also other patients. Everything that happens here with a patient is done in the presence of many people - medical personnel and the patients themselves, so you need to be prepared for the fact that you will witness not only medical measures, but also eating, hygiene procedures, toilets. In our department, it is possible to designate the area around the patient's bed with a screen, which allows you to create some personal space. However, this limits free access to the patient and may prevent medical staff from providing the necessary assistance, so we agree on the number of visitors in advance and ask you not to stay in the department for too long.

How long can a patient stay in the ICU?

The more severe the patient's condition, the longer he stays in the ICU. We need a certain period of observation, monitoring of vital signs, a round-the-clock medical and nursing post.

With simple surgical interventions, we observe the patient from one to several hours, with major operations - a day or more, and we transfer him to the hospital only after the complete stabilization of the function of organs and systems. If the patient's condition requires intensive care and replacement of vital functions, he remains in the ICU until full recovery. This can be a lengthy process. But we explain to the patient (as far as possible) and his relatives that there is no need to force events, there is no need to rush back to the hospital, because intensive care is carried out in the ICU. We must be sure that life is not in danger.

Ideal situation

There is not and never will be a "No Entry" or "No Trespassing" sign on the doors of our department. The doors of all departments in the EMC are open to visitors (except for the operating unit - it is sterile). However, we ask you to adhere to the time of visits or coordinate your visits with the doctors of our department. After all, we have one goal - to help sick people in a critical situation. This is not easy, let's try to unite and coordinate our efforts.
