Feeling of accomplishment
Create a Sense of Accomplishment in a Team (4 Ways)
1. Set achievable targets
If a task seems too complicated, unachievable, or too far outside your skill-set, you'll likely feel overwhelmed and disheartened. When faced with an unmanageable task, most people will detach themselves from it – why bother engaging with work you can't complete to the best of your ability?
That’s why setting realistic and achievable targets is so important if you want your employees to feel a sense of accomplishment. It’s simple really, when employees feel comfortable in their abilities, they'll perform at a higher level.
When they do something well, this doesn't only make them feel accomplished. It has a knock-on effect throughout the entire team. Which, of course, is great for employee morale.
That said, it’s important to keep challenging your employees. Most people will soon get bored with repetitive tasks. Understanding your employees' capabilities is key to setting achievable targets. Aim to give them tasks that push them a little bit outside of their comfort zone. But not so much that it overwhelms them.
2. Offer support but don’t micromanage
If you're setting a particularly complex task, it's very easy to slip into the trap of micromanaging. We've all probably been there at some point in our careers. But you really should avoid being overly critical or overbearing. This will only knock your team's confidence and is a horrible employee experience – for both of you.
A more encouraging and productive way of managing complicated projects is to split them into smaller achievable goals. This way, you can smooth out any problems along the way, while also rewarding your teams more frequently.
3. Offer constructive criticism
Sometimes things don’t go to plan, and there are failures or shortcomings in a project. It’s a natural part of any project - there will always be a margin of human error, and you can’t avoid or control these things.
What you can positively control, though, is how you respond to it. There’s no point in dwelling on failures or simply pointing fingers - it won’t help anyone to productively identify where they went wrong, or work on how to avoid the same problems in the future.
Sit down with your team and talk about what could have been better, and what could be improved upon in the future. Get their feedback as well as giving your own - how could your leadership have better? How could you have supported your team more fully to prevent these issues in the first place?
Being understanding and focusing on improvement rather than criticism, will create a culture of feedback in your workplace where colleagues feel comfortable sharing, asking for and receiving analysis of their performance. Studies have shown how important constructive feedback is: nearly half of workers are actively disengaged when they receive little or no feedback, and a near majority of 82% of employees appreciate both positive and negative feedback.
As a side note - if you find yourself struggling to keep up with getting regular feedback from your employees, consider using a pulse survey tool. You'll be able to gather and act on employee feedback, all while improving employee engagement. Replacing cumbersome annual reviews with something more agile can really streamline and improve your feedback process, helping your business to grow even faster.

4. Reward hard work properly
It can be easy to forget to recognise and reward your employees’ accomplishments. We all know what it’s like when your workload starts piling up, and you've a million things to think about - at times like that, giving your employees positive encouragement and praise can feel like the last thing on your to-do list.
But don’t worry - it’s not just you that sometimes forgets the importance of praise and rewards. In a survey conducted over the course of ten years, interviewing a whopping 2. 5 million employees in 237 organisations, from 89 countries, only 51% of workers were satisfied with the recognition they received for a job well done. That’s nearly half of the world’s workforce that feel under-appreciated!
One concrete way of showing your employees how much you appreciate them, and for those really big accomplishments, is to give them a material reward - whether that’s an experience, gift or voucher. One of the hardest things can be sourcing and implementing an employee reward system, at a budget that suits you.
That’s where Celebration hub comes in.
11 Ways to Feel Accomplished in Life — Basics by Becca
When it comes to your personal development, your goal should be to feel accomplished in life. It's a great feeling when you manage to achieve a lot of your personal goals on your way to success.
Accomplishment is what leads to success, especially when you're focused just enough to achieve a lot of things instead of being swayed by distractions. This sense of accomplishment doesn't just benefit your career, but your overall mental health and wellbeing.
The more accomplished you are, the happier you become. In this article, we'll be discussing 11 ways to feel accomplished in life.
What It Means To Feel AccomplishedFeeling accomplished means that you feel generally good about yourself and what you did for the day. Whether it's doing your morning routine, accomplishing deadlines, and showing your full potential today, this alone is something worth being proud of yourself for.
When you're accomplished, you managed to lead a productive day. That sense of accomplishment gives you purpose, meaning, and direction in your life. If you're constantly feeling unaccomplished, this can result in a negative impact on your life. Accomplishing something doesn't just help you succeed and excel in your career, but it helps you feel more confident and secure with who you are.
This is why productive people often have constant confidence in themselves compared to those who aren't intentional about their accomplishments.
11 Ways To Feel Accomplished in Life1. Build a morning routineThere's a higher chance of feeling accomplished when you create a morning routine that motivates you to become productive and efficient for the rest of your day. Your morning routine sets the mood for your day and it helps you set a specific intention for how you want your day to go.
For instance, starting with a simple meditation and exercise can give you the right mindset to have a motivating day.
2. Start a journal or plannerIf you're having trouble believing you've accomplished so much in your day, having either a journal or planner can benefit you in this aspect. List down the things you've done or accomplished throughout the day and you'll start to see how much you've achieved.
Your journal or planner can help you keep accountable in living an accomplished life.
3. Have a personal definition of accomplishmentJust like everyone has a personal definition for success, the same concept applies to accomplishment. You need to define what accomplishment means to you, whether that's getting up early in the morning or setting the right intentions for your day.
Someone else's definition of accomplishment can mean differently for you so it's important to define what it means for you.
4. Avoid comparing your life to othersYou can't base your sense of accomplishment on others because everyone's progress and pace are different. Just because someone's life looks better than yours, doesn't make you less accomplished.
This is why it's important to hold on to your personal definition of accomplishment - to have the assurance that you're doing your best to succeed.
5. Avoid being distractedYou won't feel a sense of accomplishment when you keep being distracted by things like video games and social media.
Even if we're all surrounded by distractions, it's important to stick to tasks that will help you get closer to feeling accomplished rather than away from it.
6. Look at how far you've comeThey say that you should never look back unless it's to see how far you've come, and this is incredibly accurate.
You might not realize everything you've accomplished and overcome until you reflect on your life and see the struggles and successes you've had over the years. No matter how simple it seems, every accomplishment is worth celebrating.
7. Practice self-reflectionYou need to develop self-reflection if you want to feel accomplished in your life. This means constantly looking inward and analyzing your thought and behavioral patterns as you move forward in your life.
People change so you should expect that your sense of accomplishment may change and develop over time.
8. Don't let one aspect identify who you areYour career might be an important part of your life, but it doesn't define your sense of accomplishment. Don't base feeling accomplished on the fact that you haven't been promoted to your ideal position or that you don't have the future you've envisioned for yourself.
Your accomplishment is more than your career or marriage, but it's your life as a whole.
9. Re-affirm your valuesInstead of trying your best to be productive, your values can define accomplishment so much better than you think.
No amount of deadlines and tasks can give you the accomplishment that integrity, honesty, or even kindness can give you in your life.
10. Avoid overworkingYou need to stop equating busyness with accomplishment and success as those two things don't mean the same thing.
You can burn yourself out from working too much, but you can still feel inadequate with your accomplishment. Instead, focus on what makes you feel fulfilled and do it with proper balance.
11. Live a balanced lifeEven if everyone has different definitions of feeling accomplished, living a balanced life is the best way you can achieve that.
A balanced life means prioritizing several aspects of your life simultaneously so you're not just exerting effort on just your career, but also your personal growth, family, and significant relationships.
Final ThoughtsI hope this article was able to shed insight on everything you needed to know on feeling accomplished. It's not always the easiest thing to achieve that sense of accomplishment and to know what it personally means to you, but it's so worth the wait when you do get that feeling.
It means you feel good about everything you've accomplished for the day and throughout your life, no matter how mundane it seems to others. Accomplishment is more than just a career title or how much money you make, but it's your personal success story on how proud you are of what you've achieved.

One of the pleasant surprises was the meeting (during the ceremony) with NES Rector Sergey Guriev, from a conversation with whom I learned that students like my course. Hooray! (I had some doubts about this).
And yesterday I was first recognized on the street :) Well, not on the street, in a cafe. Based on a photo in the "Big City", where an interview was recently published (not bad, in my opinion).
They dragged a bag of books from the ceremony, to read - not to re-read. As I understand it, there were heated debates in the humanitarian nomination: D.B. Zimin was strongly in favor of giving the prize to K. Sonin (“Lessons in Economics”), but Zimin only has an advisory vote on the jury. This was not officially announced, of course, but such a conclusion is drawn almost inevitably from V. Uspensky's speech at the ceremony and the words spoken by Zimin in an interview with Gazeta.ru. Plungin's book is also wonderful, of course. So far I have read the first few pages of Levontina's book "Russian with a Dictionary". Charm. Strelnikova's book "From what everything is made" was immediately grabbed by the youngest (5th grade) and reads avidly. In general, the Dynasty has flooded the book market with excellent books, so it is already becoming difficult to re-read everything.
As for the Warm Words, maybe after a while I'll post the full text here. They say it worked out well. But what did it cost me :)
I still wanted to tell a lot of things, but there is no time, okay, then somehow.
