10. Jim - ENFJ
Jim Halpert’s charm alone is enough to land him in the ENFJ spot on this list. Like Jim, ENFJs give off the kind of friendliness that makes people so darn willing to like them. Jim is also a person who gets pleasure from the small things in life. He always finds the humor in any situation and can diffuse especially tense scenarios. But what people don’t say enough about Jim is this: he actually makes for a pretty good boss. In true ENFJ fashion, Jim quietly inspires the Dunder-Mifflin branch when he briefly co-manages the office with Michael. And it’s easy to see why; Jim is the type of person you could make a leader. Just like—when it comes to movies—the guy who plays him.

9. Dwight - ISFJ
“Hilariously regimented” isn’t a typical descriptor for a network TV character, but it definitely is one for Dwight K. Schrute. ISFJs like Dwight love their own sense of structure, whether that’s in their work or personal lives. Plus, Dwight highly values loyalty just like other ISFJs. Maybe one of the only times we see him get really emotional is when he feels he’s betrayed by Michael.
Finally, ISFJs are frequently attracted to jobs that involve agriculture. And if you know who grows the best darn beets in all of Pennsylvania, well, there’s not much more I can add to this entry.
8. Pam - ISFP
Nobody’s “normal” on The Office. Every character has his or her own quirks, violent tendencies, or cultish beliefs. However, Pam Beesly might be the closest thing we get to a real human being in the Scranton Branch of Dunder-Mifflin. She is empathetic where others aren’t, values harmony when others would fight to the death, and generally puts others feelings before her own. Not only do these qualities make her the Office cast member you’d most like to work with, they solidly confirm her as an ISFP. And if that doesn’t convince you, ISFPs are easily drawn to the arts. Whether it’s graphic design or painting, art is a big part of Pam’s character.

Angela - INFP We published a Disney villains Myers Briggs® personality list recently, and the INFP we gave for that list was Claude Frollo. Now, which Office character do you think is most like Frollo? There’s really only one answer. Like Frollo and other INFPs, Angela is deeply sensitive, with a tendency to take personal offense at the most imagined of slights. She is also strict in her beliefs, tenaciously clinging to her moral values and the organizations that support them. Out of everyone on this list, Angela is probably the most introverted, and just like other INFPs, she prefers her solitude over social gatherings.

5. Jan - ISTJ
The character of Jan changes a lot in The Office, so it was a little difficult to nail down a perfect answer. However, there is one constant of Jan’s personality to examine; if she doesn’t have order, her life falls apart. This is also true of ISTJs, and to get at Jan’s personality type, we have to look at when her life was structured. At those times, she is incredibly analytical and systematic. She has her days, weeks, and months planned out to the second.
She’s a fierce pursuer of her goals, working long hours to achieve career milestones and personal checkpoints. That’s how an ISTJ lives, and it’s how Jan does, too. You know, when her life isn’t on fire and rolling off a cliff.

4. Andy - ENFP
If you’re an ENFP, you probably already know that a lot of your fellows are musicians. Andy is hands down the most musical in the office, but the ENFP similarities don’t stop there. The whole reason Andy Bernard (and any other ENFP) is musical is because he finds great value in personal joys. ENFPs are free spirit types, attracted to art and adventure because they can see deeper meaning in them. ENFPs are almost never afraid to put themselves out there. Even if that means things will go horribly wrong, they’ll take that chance. Whatever their art, performing for others is a way to connect. Just like Andy, ENFPs are most honest on the stage.

3. Meredith - ESTP
Meredith Palmer rolls with the punches, and sometimes, that involves real punches. Or getting set on fire... Whatever the situation, Meredith exhibits an almost unhealthy degree of adaptability. Usually, that comes along with a hatred of the rules. Though it’s not usually that extreme, those are qualities all ESTPs demonstrate. Like Meredith, ESTPs love to cut loose. A new situation doesn’t just bother them, it can recharge them. They love people but even more than that, love the fun people provide them. But again, don’t think every ESTP is a Meredith. On the whole, there would be a lot more arrests if that were true.

2. Kelly - ESTJ
One of the downsides to an ESTJ personality is the ability to go full "mean girl" in a social situation. ESTJs have a take-charge, self-confident attitude that, unfortunately, can lead to cruelty.
This is absolutely Kelly Kapoor. She is outspoken about the things she doesn't like, even at the risk of hurting someone else. Really, Kelly's cattiness boils down to the ESTJ love of the status quo and their place in it. When Kelly feels like she's not the most popular, or the most well-liked, that's when we see her worst side. ESTJs also value relationships a lot, and if you watch how Kelly interacts with Ryan, you'd know that's certainly a trait of hers. Maybe an extreme version of that trait, but one nonetheless.

1. Michael - ENTP
ENTPs can be erratic, hopping from plan to plan or feeling to feeling at just a moment's notice. They're also attracted to managerial roles because they enjoy connecting with people as their leader. For all his faults, these traits are at the heart of Michael Scott.
Michael loves to see others encouraged, often thinking of The Office cast members as his family.
Now, you might say that Michael's got a lot of negative traits as well, but even those fit with ENTP personalities. I firmly believe that the world is made up of two types of people: the first who think that 'The Office' is the greatest comedy ever; it's practically their bible. At one point in the show, even while working from a Dunder Mifflin closet, all he does is pitch new business ideas to his coworkers. His insight in this area will be borne out by the fact that, despite his somewhat controversial reputation in the office, he was still able to get people to invest in his WUPHF startup.
As his entrepreneurial qualities suggest, he is genuinely risk-averse, which doesn't always work out for him as his position constantly fluctuates up the corporate ladder, but he has certain admirable qualities despite being an unemotional jerk and mostly for Kelly. would be that he never gave up.
Angela Martin, ISTJ
Angela Martin would be the very definition of a limited person, often rigid in design and very, very systematic in approach. In fact, it is often these traits that can make ISTJs appear emotionally distant and indifferent, at least initially, which is further evidence that Angela loves cats more than people. The "judgemental" moments would be somewhat natural for someone like Angela, as would her introverted nature, though I'd like to believe she's an introvert by choice. When it comes to work, she is a bankable person, very duty oriented and a completely logical person, completely matching her ISTJ traits.
Phyllis Vance, ISFJ
Although her maternal nature may have been the source of many of Michael's jokes, despite being Michael's age, it is something that I think is natural for someone with this particular combination of personality traits.
She is happy to take on more responsibility and is generally affable and affable, but is also willing to give it away when the situation calls for it. Phyllis will be our permanent ISFJ in office, as also evidenced by her regular tussle with Angela for control of the party's planning committee.
Oscar Martinez, INTJ

I would like to think of Stanley as a simple man with simple life goals, who at the same time mastered the art of giving a damn about nothing. Whoever, on any given day, chooses his crossword puzzles over people, in an increasingly crowded, dying environment, his only ray of hope is the day of the pretzel.
He is also a caring father, somewhat of a family man, and largely dedicated to his work. He would look like one of those guys who would like to know where their next paycheck will come from, but certainly not the "wild" one, thus completely discarding the "astute" part, preferring a well-structured life to the point of uncertainty, any day . He can be uptight on occasion as well, but he seems to enjoy little breaks.
Kevin Malone, ISFP
One of two completely artistic types in the office, Kevin may not seem like a skilled person at first, but he is clearly not suited to his accounting job, given that he had to rely on imaginary products when doing simple arithmetic action! Kevin is often characterized, too erroneously, for his childlike presence, which is mostly played for laughs, but despite his life outside of the office being kept surprisingly private, I find him intensely introverted, emotional, and sensitive to the core. . While Kevin's best scene is the chili scene, his snippets with his band Scrantonicity and playing with Darryl and Andy are some of his best "character moments".
Kelly Kapoor, ESTJ
Always the source of all the requested and unsolicited drama on Dunder Mifflin, Kelly is someone who can be the life of the party when she needs to, instantly turning into a business bitch. Even though she is one of my favorite characters, I wouldn't deny that she shrewdly took advantage of her minority status and, frankly, everything she could to benefit her professionally or get her way with people by showing that she is actually a "thinking" Type, smarter than what she could initially rely on. The "E" in ESTJ could probably be her middle name. ESTJs are also said to get along well with people, which explains her long tenure at Dunder Mifflin as head of customer service. Romantically, ESTJs also have a sort of "over-commitment" streak that clearly embodies Kelly and Ryan's relationship, on and off, and 100% because of her!
Andy Bernard, ENFP
The best term that could cover everything Andy was, is showman. If not for the salesman, for whom he himself realizes that his perspicacity was not very suitable, he would have been a man of the theater, without the slightest doubt.
In all respects, he could even be considered talented, but underachieving. The "sensual" part is supposed to sound natural, without any explanation, his relationship with Erin is one of the most tender things in the series, clearly revealing Andy's emotional side. Career-wise, Andy could not be considered a perfect example to look up to, as he clearly struggled with sales before finally deciding to embark on a life-changing journey, pointing to his ``intuitive'' planning methods, more than what seems reasonable and "safe". He's a performer, and the whole Dunder Mifflin is his stage!
Pam Beasley, ISFP
The world should be grateful to the ISFPs because it would be quite boring without them! ISFPs are unmistakably artistic people, and Pam in the literal sense of the word. She may have dropped out of art school after her second attempt at success, but her inherent sensitivity to things and her very thoughtful, considerate nature are what are really the truly reflective traits of her artistic personality, not the art itself.
Even as a secretary in the office, she quickly established herself as the main face of the office due to her strong, energetic personality. Although her sensitive side also makes her emotionally vulnerable and often targeted, the ISFP will have no other choice. One of the reasons I am immensely in love with Pam's character is how immensely and completely she has grown from a doubtful receptionist to a loving mother and wife and an overall happy person.
Jim Halpert, ENTP
ENTPs are natural leaders, even if they are fleeting and easily distracted, which makes their heads flutter, and this is clearly reflected in Jim when he takes on any job where he has to manage people considering he's starting to take things seriously. It's also part of the accompanying charisma for them, even if not in a strictly managerial sense, but you often find them in the spotlight, even in casual conversations. When it comes to making decisions and hard choices, I like to think of Jim as the exact opposite of Michael, as you'll see when you read Michael's personality, also very well portrayed in the episodes where they both have different ideas of running an office together.
"Thinking" instead of "feeling" can annoy some people, but when you think about it - when he's looking for a job he really enjoys and doing his best, family takes a backseat to him, including Pam, even if only for a little while.
Dwight Schrute, ISTJ
Someone like Dwight can be extremely difficult to define and translate into a psychological construct, given the many shades of a character, except for a few basic, defining ones. Dwight's short-sighted and far-sighted goal in his workplace, Dunder Mifflin, was to act as manager, even if he respected Michael's authority. He is clearly a logical thinker, calculating and intelligently assessing the risks and rewards, so he was the owner of two businesses, in addition to his usual sales job in the office, and quite astute. Even his love interests, including Angela, did not come from overtly affectionate behavior, but from some kind of explanation that only Dwight can explain. Beat it, emotions! Simple, efficient, logical and smart.
Come to think of it, Dwight Schrute would typically be the exact opposite of Michael Scott with all the basic character traits. An insightful and important observation, even if some agree.
Michael Scott, ENFJ
Well, you're by no means a true office geek unless you agree that Michael really was "the best boss in the world," as his own mug indicates. ENFJs may not be natural born leaders like Jim Halpert's ENTPs, but it turns out they're pretty serious contenders too. Even in the early seasons, when it's really hard for the audience to find ways to like him like his co-stars, his ability as a manager actually played a major role in bringing the office together and surviving the crisis, even when I understand it. he gave a bizarre speech to David Wallace when asked about the success of his branch.
It is obvious that Michael can be described as a very emotional person who considers the entire office and its employees to be his family. His choice of lovers was misguided before he finally turned to his soul mate from outer space, Holly Flux, clearly representing judgment rather than perception.
Moreover, the goals he set for himself, including beating China as a world superpower, the merry Scotts, or running a marathon to find a cure for rabies, clearly indicate emotions beyond theoretical sensitivity and farsightedness, however improbable. He is the boss we clearly love to hate and hate!

10. Jim - ENFJ
Jim Halpert's charm alone is enough to put him in the ENFJ spot on this list. Like Jim, ENFJs exude a friendliness that makes people want to fucking love them. Jim is also a person who enjoys the little things in life. He always finds humor in any situation and can deliver especially intense scenarios. But what people don't say enough about Jim is that he is actually a very good boss. In true ENFJ fashion, Jim quietly inspires the Dunder Mifflin branch when he briefly runs the office with Michael. And it's easy to see why; Jim is the type of person you could make a leader. Just like - when it comes to movies - the guy who plays him.

9. Dwight - ISFJ
"Jolly regulation" isn't your typical network TV character descriptor, but it definitely fits Dwight K. Schrute. ISFJs like Dwight love their own sense of structure, whether in their work or personal lives.
In addition, Dwight values loyalty highly, as do other ISFJs. Perhaps the only time we see him get really emotional is when he feels betrayed by Michael. Finally, ISFJs are often recruited for jobs that involve agriculture. And if you know who grows the best damn beets in all of Pennsylvania, well, I can't add more to this entry.
8. Pam - ISFP
No one is "normal" in the office. Each character has their own quirks, violent tendencies, or cult beliefs. However, Pam Beasley is perhaps the closest thing to a real person in the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. She is sympathetic where others are not, appreciates harmony when others fight to the death, and usually puts the feelings of others before her own. These qualities not only make her the actor you would most like to work with, but also confirm her ISFP status. And if that doesn't convince you, ISFPs are easily addicted to art. Whether it's graphic design or painting, art is a big part of Pam's character.
7. Angela - INFP
We recently released a list of Disney villains Myers Briggs® and the INFP we gave for that list was Claude Frollo. Now, which Office character do you think is the most similar to Frollo? There really is only one answer. Like Frollo and other INFPs, Angela is very sensitive and tends to resent the most imagined of disasters. She is also strict in her beliefs, tenaciously clinging to her moral values and the organizations that support them. Of everyone on this list, Angela is probably the most introverted, and like other INFPs, she prefers her solitude over social gatherings.
Oh, and if you're wondering; yes, INFPs can often be cat people.
6. Ryan - ESFP
ESFPs usually have a very good understanding of what they look like. Whether it's a literal worry about fashion or a social anxiety about popularity, you can count on ESFPs to know how they're coming out. Ryan's anxiety about how he looks, literally and socially.
He is also someone who, like most ESFPs, can move from commitment to commitment or from group of friends to group of friends with shocking ease. In his transitory lifestyle, Ryan will also often look for expensive or dangerous thrills, usually ones that end up going very wrong. Not all ESFPs are as greedy and slimy as Ryan Howard, but when they fail, these are commonalities. In addition, each of them kindles a pita.

5. Jan - ISTJ
Jan's character changes a lot in The Office, so it was a bit difficult to find the perfect answer. However, there is one Yang personality constant to explore; if she has no order, her life falls apart. The reason why Andy Bernard (and any other ENFP) is musical is because he finds great value in personal pleasures. ENFPs are free spirits who are drawn to art and adventure because they see a deeper meaning in them. ENFPs are almost never afraid to put themselves out there. Even if it means things will go wrong, they will take the risk. Whatever their art, performing for others is a way of communicating. Like Andy, ENFPs are the most honest on stage. Even if at this stage your college invites you to a team of four.
3. Meredith - ESTP
Meredith Palmer rides with punches and sometimes real punches.

2. Kelly - ESTJ
One of the flaws in the ESTJ personality is the ability to become a complete "mean girl" in a social situation. ESTJs have self-confidence, which unfortunately can lead to violence. This is absolutely Kelly Kapoor. She talks openly about things she doesn't like, even at the risk of hurting someone else. Indeed, Kelly's wickedness boils down to the ESTJ's love of the status quo and their place in it.
When Kelly feels like she's not the most popular or loved one, that's when we see her worst side. ESTJs also value relationships a lot, and if you watch how Kelly interacts with Ryan, you'll understand that this is her specialty. Maybe an extreme version of this trait, but still.

ENTP can be erratic, shifting from plan to plan or feeling to feeling at any moment. They are also attracted to managerial roles because they enjoy interacting with people as their leader. Despite all his flaws, these traits are at the core of Michael Scott.
Michael loves to see others inspired, often thinking of The Office cast as his family. Now you can tell that Michael also has a lot of negative traits, but even those that match ENTP personalities.
